Not sure it is a repost or not. Today I just found this in costco B&M. They have a coupon of $10 off SanDisk 128M, effective Jan 14 to Jan 20. The original price of that flash card is 59.99. So the final price is 49.99, no rebates needed.

Not sure if there is a online coupon or not. But when you go to the B&M, there should be lots of them at the register.

Yeah, I picked up a coupon flyer with that coupon in it just this afternoon. Can't you find a 128mb CF card cheaper? The coupon is for CF or SM however, so this might definately be a hot deal for that new MP3 player/DigiCam/PDA.

Wow. A quick check of iBuyer and Pricewatch do not bear out my theory. Even Mr. Flash is within a dollar or two of this deal, and this is for a name brand card.

Nice deal Jerommy, I would have posted it but figured Costco was overpriced. I stand corrected. Keep those good deals coming.

Bump for decent deal. Costco in Santa Clara, the one with the gas station, had tons of CF and SM in stock.

:disgust:

You'd better check on the nature of this beast...not all of the reviews glow warm...

To wit:
Slow card and almost useless for digital cameras, December 19, 2001
Reviewer: kdjoergensen (see more about me) from NJ
The card turned out to be horribly slow. The digital camera takes 4-5 seconds to write to it if more than 100 images stored. First we thought it was due to the size of the card, but having bought a viking and a crucial 64 mb compactFlash card we realise that it is not the size of the card, but the brand of card which is making the process slow.
We later found following comparison which does seem to support our findings that the card IS SLOW..

http://www.dpreview.com/articles/mediacompare/page4.asp?sort=cp995jpeg --This text refers to the 64 MB option.

This was taken from the Amazon system... caveat emptor

I have the 128 mb CF by sandisk. Pretty good, IMO. I haven't used my Kingston 256mb CF though, so I can't compare them.

The coupon is found in the store, this is a BM deal only. Its a the normal coupon and not the passport ones we get in the mail.

Tell the truth, I have the Minolta Dimage 7 and it uses 2 to 2-1/2 Mb for each pic.
All the CFs are all slow in this camera @ 5 megapixels...some a LOT more than others. Boy, does it ever take good pictures, though.

Mr. Flash is a joke.
Viking is OK, as is the new Crucial.

I grabbed a 128 Mb Smart Media yesterday, too; they had a large display of both Compact Flash and SM (all mixed together, make sure you get what you want). This price is within $1-$2 of newegg.com after shipping in included. I don't think there's a difference in speed with smartmedia, like there apparently is with CF.
