Sanding after clear coat is done??

I just finish spraying on the last clear coat.
I didn't sand in between clear coat, so i notice some spot are smooth and some are not.
The question is should i sand it now and reapply another layer of clear coat??
If so , what grit of sand paper should i use. The highest i could find at my local hardware store is 1000 grit, nothing higher.

here is a guide for all the steps of painting and page 5 tells about what u r talking about, i think he says use 600 grit but im not sure, check it out
