Sander Sassen wants Quicktime Serial?

Sounds to me like he wants to pay to upgrade from the free version, not warez a copy. So what?

I agree, not sure why people are bashing. He wants to buy a legimate copy, from what it looks like, apple did not make this possible. I am pretty sure one user getting a duplicate S/N from apple isn't going to break them. Additonally, he could just mail them a check for what its worth and then take the duplicate serial... Then Apple is actually getting a deal...

But whatever... At this point, people seem to be trolling this Sanders guy and finding everything wrong with him they can... That is no way to act... :thumbsdown:

Openlly asking is a more honest approach. Basically, and no offense to you, but you just admitted that it was essentially ok to do this, just as long as no one knows. !!!!

I don't know if you noticed but Hardware Analysis does not = Anandtech, far from it. Any bozo can "find" a serial easily on the internet, including Sassen. Looks like more "look at me" from Mr. Sassen to drum up hits to his site, and linking it up and creating threads does just that.

Either that or he's a complete idiot😉

Nah. Anything Sanders belongs here.

No I'm not bashing him. We all do things like "obtaining" serials through whatever methods. He can just do that under the table instead of majorly hinting at it in a thread. "oooh I want to PAY for Quicktime 7.0 but I can't sniff sniff" Ok.....

This guy has like no sense of ethics or anything. I mean even if he didnt have his history of "benchmarks" or whatever, if you run a site and you basically posta thread asking for serials on your own forums?? .... At least use a cover identity.
