ATI's front page shows a timer currently at 12d, so not much longer. Well, relatively. Time compresses in hindsight, but stretches in foresight--at least, when it comes to new GPUs.

FYI, you're mistakenly referring to pixel pipelines (aka, pipes) as bits. So, rather than "leaked 24-32 bit," you'd say 24-32 pipe. Save them bits for memory buses, ALU (shader) precision, and data formats. 🙂
 
If that's a benchmark number, sweet! If it's just the name, well, no big surprise there. 🙂 They're obviously pretty psyched about their core speeds, though.
