Sand in Digi camera

Yup, went to the beach today, and yup, got sand in the camera like an idiot. Anyone ever experience this? It's a Sony DSC-P8. If it's possible to fix it, how much would it cost to be fixed? Thanks.

Sorry...It's in the lens. WHenever I try to power on the camera, the lens only comes out like 1/3 of the way. lol, you can hear crunching when the camera is trying to open. I think a lot of sand got in there

Ahh just start taking it apart like a with a with a kitchen knife like a ten year old.Sure there may be pieces you forget to put back in and plenty of pry marks but you can get that damn sand out!
