She may be a kook or a nut, but if this is her property, she has every right to decorate as she sees fit.

This ruling violates freedom of speech and freedom of religion all in one.

Shakes head, and agrees.

I bet the HOA has some major waddage in their panties. I'm going to start flying my black flag.

I wonder what the SC will say too. Clearly she decreases the value of other people's property by doing this. Cities even pass laws about what color you can paint your house. You can't in some places have a dirt yard or even a portion of it in dirt because it has to be landscaped. Same thing,,,,some think it's an eyesore and makes the neighborhood less desirable to life in. They say you can't fight city hall, but I don't know. Only robots need apply to modern life, it seems.

No it does not. Freedom is always limited to what, where and how you exercise it.

My city fines me for not cutting my grass. They also have rules on how long I can have my Christmas decorations up. I also cannot park my car on my lawn.

Do I have a right to take them to court for this? Sure, but I'm not a total fool and am willing to abide by certain city rules to keep my neighborhood the way it was intended to look when I signed up to live here.

The only reason why you and any other person is making this a bigger deal than it really is, is the religion aspect of it. If this was a gay sign up on a gay person's house, Foxnews would certainly spin the article another way.

Thats nothing. Theres a house in Northern Ontario that has this huge "Jesus will save you" painted in massive white letters on the roof of a house which you can see from the highway. There use to be another house near the end of the that highway bridge that said "No he won't". Was funny as hell every time we drove by it up there 🙂

I have to laugh about everyone shaking their heads in disbelief that she has every right to do this....

Well, yeah, until your next door neighbor starts pulling this kind of crap.....

Benavides, 47, who also broadcasts the messages from a loudspeaker on the roof of her car, has said the messages come to her from God through a statue at her church and from the Bible.

Dunno, I'd be taking shots at her if my neighbor started pulling this... OK, I probably wouldn't go that far but I'd be pissed enough to flatten every tire on her car.

If she is doing this then I have to wonder "WHAT ELSE" is she doing? Plenty..... I am sure.... Think about if you tried to move. Who the hell would want to buy your home .. Well, maybe ProfJohn might buy it.

Screw her. Take that crap down. We just had some idiot neighbors thrown out last night for having yappy ass dogs (plus they were not screened before moving in). Bu bye, idiots. This is why we have associations and can CHOOSE where to live. She wants to put totem poles up, no problem, buy a big tract in the middle of nowhere and knock yourself out.

The secular progressives strike again, why do they hate Jesus?

It's time for the oppressed to rise up! Satan lurks among us!
