I don't like suburbanites cars polluting the city and running people over, so should we ban cars?

Can you prove that it is only "suburbanities" running people over? How many San Franciscans own cars?

No, we all are in the same boat together, you seem more interested in blaming other people instead of looking at your own flaws and the big picture, this is a lesson in life we all have to learn. Life is what it is, some good some annoying. But that is what keeps it diverse and interesting.

I am more interested at addressing the root problem then blindly believing that such situations are basically created by blind happenstance of events in peoples lives and that the only solution is to ignore a problem or throw money at it.

It's not the only solution, but the root of the problem simply is they have no money. If they were a drunk living in a trailerpark he would be a "real american" instead of a urban "bum". Good part of the US population are the same kind of people but less visible since they were lucky enough to have more family and didnt wind up on the streets. If you want to get to the root of the matter it is shown it would be just cheaper to give drunks/junkies actual homes with the tools to better themselves, but then this country has a fucked up complex wanting to one up everyone and rub their mistakes in their face for some pathetic superiority complex. The fuck you I got mine attitude is what destroys the social fabric of this country along with capitalism itself. Thats the root of the problem. Blame one another and squabble over trinkets liek spare change while the capitalists raid the treasury. This is a perfect example of how the working class is losing the class war to the rich and their talk radio rw media mouthpieces propaganda badly.
