San Francisco to Expand 'Sanctuary City' Ordinance

San Francisco officials on Monday moved closer to amending the city's controversial sanctuary ordinance and restricting when local authorities can report juveniles for possible deportation.

Lets not forgot this ordinance lead to the assassination of an entire family by an illegal immigrant who was being shielded from federal authorities by the city after being arrested for several violent felonies.

While I don't believe in this sanctuary city nonsense, you need to understand why these laws were enacted in the first place. It's because Ronnie Reagan and his administration were starting illegal wars in central america, which led to million of illegals coming here to escape violence in their own countries. It was a response to horrible behaviour by the federal govt. Those wars are over now, and it is time for the sanctuary policies to go too.

No, not really. The entire quota of immigration slots for Mexican nationals is taken up by those who already have close family here. If you are a poor Mexican with no family connections in the US, no golden door for you.

Agree, but the city of San Francisco shielded an illegal immigrant who then went onto assassinate an entire family after the illegal drove down a one way street the wrong way and the family pulled over to let him pass.

If any city shouldn't have this policy it is San Francisco as there has been multiple deaths OF CITIZENS linked directly to the policy.
