So. I first saw this report on boygenious: http://www.boygeniusreport.com/2009...icably-unavailable-for-nyc-via-online-orders/

And now, many sources are reporting it:
http://www.cnn.com/2009/TECH/12/28/iphone.sales.nyc/index.html?section=cnn_latest
http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/34601378/ns/technology_and_science-wireless/
"AT&T has apparently found a workable solution to the reported data congestion in New York City," Northrup wrote.
She quotes the AT&T sales representative as saying "the phone is not offered to you because New York is not ready for the iPhone. You don't have enough towers to handle the phone."
WHOA. Bad news for ATT. Seriously. Reports show you can buy one at a store, just not via phone or online.
Can wait to see Verizon's commercial in response....
