there is balboa park, downtown nightlife, wild animal park, zoo, beaches, and the strawberry/flower fields in carlsbad. what are your intrests? anything in particular you're looking to do/accomplish?

yeah, the beaches will be great in june. in fact, the weather is great right now for the beaches. i know there are a few other san diego residents on these forums besides me, so feel free to ask questions and you should get answers pretty quickly.
 
Try to get out to the Cabrillo Monument. The view is absolutely beautiful - you can see the whole harbor and, depending on the weather, a huge section of the city. Plus the tide pools can be a lot of fun.
 
um, there's lots to do. cheap shopping in Ocean Beach or Tijuana is a short drive away. always the zoo or wild animal park. of course the beaches. Mission & Pacific are the best, drinking allowed, volleyball, good times.

San Diego Zoo is nice, or the Wild Animal park. You can go to both on a combo deal for cheap i think. I think when you go to the wild animal park you can get into the San Diego Zoo for 7 bucks. That's what i heard anyways. Wild Animal park isn't much different from the zoo unless you take one of the expensive tours ($90 a head). We didn't take the tours, but it was still a cool place. Without taking the tours (2-3 hours long i think) you can probably see most of the park in 6-7 hours. The place closes at 5PM so you might have to get up early 😛
