hey there folks,.

i got this san diego to a stable 2.8ghz(damn these 1mb 90nm cores are somethin special indeed;) ) and i was wondering what the temps and voltage of some other peoples opterons and san diegos are running

at 2.6 ghz i had it set to 1.48v(1.4v out of box) and 34c idle 43 full load,..i pushed it a bit further after setting in 2.6 for a day or so and now im sitting at 2.8ghz 1.52v(wouldnt pass much of prime 95 continuous torture without 1.52v),..and now my temps are running 36c idle and 46c full load at 255x11 1.52v 4xHTT(2045) 166 divider with a chipset temp of 28c

just wanna stack it up with how others san diegos and opterons are running to see if this is on the money with what it should be running, or if the temps are getting too high,or too high of voltage for these to run 24/7 er what not

thnx!

My Optey 144 @2.8GHz (9*311) runs at 29 idle and 38 under load (water cooled though) at 1.50 +3.3% in the bios (CPUID reports 1.488 volts)

Hi there :)
I have a SD (3700+) at 2.8GHZ stable for a time now, 255MHZ HTT @ 1.44V
my 1Gb ram is 1:1 with cpu at 1.5-2-2-5, i usually get 30ºC idle and 38ºC load with my Scythe Ninja

welp it failed prime 95 torture after 2 hours at 2.8,....but i noticed something,...in the middle of the tests my rails were fluxuating big time,..more or less dipping,..causing a "hardware failure" error minutes after i seen the fluxuations...i expected my temps to be a lil higher with 2 gtx's and 2 10,000 rpm raptors(case heaters pretty much),..but it looks like ill have to chill at stock(just because if the power supply goes at 2.6,..i dont want it to take any of my hardware with it)...:(until i get another power supply

Goregrinder, before you go out and buy a new psu you should consider whether it could be poor voltage regulation on the mobo causing that fluctuation. I have the same problem & I'm sure its the Epox rather than the Enermax. I get about 0.025v either way on my vcore, over at idle and below under load. It means I've had to increase my vcore to 1.55v just to get 2.5GHz. I was able to get 2.6GHz but that needed 1.65v which is uncomfortably high for these chips.

To answer your original question, I am running my Opteron 144 at 2.5GHz (9x280) on 1.55v and have temps of 31/43 (idle/load).
