GO ARIZONA! GO!

I'm trying to participate in the buycott as well to make sure to support the great state of Arizona. It turns out folks are quite pissed about San Diego's boycott for a free state. Careful where you tread california, people and business are fleeing your state like hotcakes so it would be best to not piss off the people that support you.

"We're in a very tough environment already because of everything else going on, and we don't need another negative impact to our industry," ConVis President Joe Terzi told the Union-Tribune. "This affects all the hardworking men and women who count on tourism for their livelihoods, so we’re saying, don't do something that hurts their livelihoods."

"I've been approached by a number of hotels who are very concerned because they’ve received cancelations from Arizona guests," Namara Mercer, executive director of the county Hotel-Motel Association, told the newspaper.

Good. Did these fools think it didn't work both ways? I could be wrong, but I would think CA sees more tourism from AZ citizens than the other way around.

I'd rather go down to San Diego than to AZ, that's for sure, especially with less teabaggers in the area :)

But the real question is how cheap is the produce? And I thought you were from SF? Figured you to be quite comfortable with teabagging.

Sucks for the SD businesses, but if they don't like it, then take it up with their city council.

I live in Silicon Valley, and I guess you had a different SF experience from me ;)
not that there is anything wrong with that :D

Unless you are Hispanic I don't see any reason to boycott Arizona, well besides the fact that it's hotter than hell and dryer than a menopausal whores vag.

Arizona should simply say that they will pay for a 1 way bus ticket to California for anyone in Arizona illegally.

Then Arizona should make it clear to these cities in California that if they want to continue to boycott them, that Arizona will boycott them in return including the halting of power to those cities/California.

That would change California's tune real quick.

San Diego school board President Shelia Jackson said:
“Certainly, we know how important tourism is to San Diego, and it wasn’t my intent to impact the tourism trade.”

Correction, it wasn't her intent to impact San Diego's tourism trade. It was totally her intention to impact Arizona's tourism trade.

That has tourism officials urging Arizonans to consider the resolutions as merely symbolic and local politics at work.

Only in California could you have that logic.
We boycott you but you shouldn't boycott us because when you do it to use our actions are "symbolic".

Good catch. You're exactly right. That kind hypocrisy is almost funny. More sad than funny though.

Why on Earth would anyone (well, anyone legal) from Arizona want to vacation in the state where most of the Arizona illegals are going? Kind of defeats the purpose methinks.

We should all thank her for that statement. We might have thought she was a principled lefty otherwise; now we see there's no possible alternative but that she's a total idiot.

As a native of San Diego COUNTY, we used to have a name for Arizonians. We called them Zonies and made fun of them when they left the Arizona heat during the summer.

If cities in California are so upset about it, I'm sure Arizona wouldn't mind shipping the illegals right into the downtown districts of the respective cities. I'd be interested to hear their point of view then.

Lol, maybe that's why places like San Diego and LA are so upset, they realize the illegals will just move there. That'd piss me off.
