san andreas for pc trouble

My buddy picked up SA for the PC and he had Clonecd installed. He couldn't run San Andreas for obvious reasons. I told him to get rid of Clonecd and he did but the game still won't run, saying the same thing about detecting copy software. What can he do?

He got rid of all the burning/copying stuff he had and it says the same thing. I think he has tried re-installing it a couple of times to no avail. And he cleaned his registry. Anyone else get this problem?
