nice deal,

where do i get the 20 dollar off coupon for 75 dollar purchases? Can anyone send me a link? Thanks

Also, the 19 inch monitor says its .22mm dot pitch, is the lower the number better or higher? And is .22 good? Thanks

I bought this a little while ago for $156, delivered, with WA state tax, after $20 + $30 rebates. It's a value-line Samsung.

The 0.22mm is horizontal pitch, equates to 0.26 diagonal (honest) pitch. Smaller is better, if all else is equal.

Worth what I paid for it. Text sharpness is OK, but the colors are greyish.

I had the 17" version of this monitor and didn't like it at all. Text wasn't too crisp and it had low refresh rates with bland colors. In less than a year i started getting alot of signal distortion, this was due to cords coming loose inside the vga cable. You get what you pay for :)

Would someone that really doesnt know alot about computers, and just goes on internet, types few term papers, and play a few games really notice the difference? Right now, I have a compaq presario 5015 with a MV500 monitor, and it looks great for me. The monitor and system is about five years old, and the monitor is great. But I brought a p4 1.8ghz for college, and Im thinking about buying the 19 inch monitor. Could anyone tell me if this is a good idea, and also will the samtron monitor be worst or better than my five year old compaq presario MV500 monitor right now? thanks for the help.

Andrew: If you'll be living in the dorms, a 19" will likely make you feel cramped. I'd suggest a quality 17" AG (aperture grill) type (Sony Trinitron or Mitsubishi Diamondsomething).

I run at 1024 x 768 and love my (discontinued) IBM P72, a 17" Trinitron (pre-FD model, flat vertically, slightly curved horizontally).

Andrew Fraley...i also recommend 17" trinitron or =.
they are flat screen wich reduces glare. also they have high refresh rates wich means less trips to the eye doctor. i can look at my 19" all day ...but my 15" m50 hewlett packard burns my eyes pretty bad after an hour or 2.
