Samsung x427M and cingular

ok got the upload thing figured out. they had to be 8bit ringtones... ggrrr
8 bit ringtones,,, bah what a bunch of poop.. everything i convert to 8bit sounds like crap.
pictures are fine... just not all gif's will open,, which sucks cuz i have a few cool gif's id like to use.

is there anwhere that has a true free ringtone database,, or someone around here who may have a buttload on there site for people to grab ?

I'm not sure exactly what you mean by "8 bit ringtones" - the X427m (I have an X426 myself) should be able to play any MIDI ringtones as well as MMF (which I believe is Samsung's proprietary format, but I could be wrong). I suppose you could mean that the samples in the MMF have to be 8-bit instead of 16-bit?

In any case...I've gotten some ringtones from www.polyphonicringtonez.com in the past...there are lots of places, but like I said, anything in MIDI or MMF format should work (although I think the file size limit is something ridiculously low like 32kb or 40kb...)
