The WiFi on my Galaxy S3 stopped working and I had to send it to Samsung for warranty repair. The repair ticket says "no PCS service, replaced PBA."

Can someone tell me what this means?

Thanks for the reply. I'm supposed to be getting it back tomorrow. Hopefully it is fixed. If it does arrive tomorrow the total time out of my hands will be 8 days, which isn't too bad.

Also I have to say that my experience with Samsung was very good. The person I spoke to was smart, well spoken, and didn't treat me like a baby. I told him my wifi wouldn't connect anywhere, with or without the network being secured. My wife has the same phone and I have a Galaxy tab and other computers that connect fine. I also told him I'd been to a Sprint store and they couldn't fix it. He didn't even go down the are you sure you putting in the correct password? Check your router settings? He just said, it looks like you've done everything possible so you'll have to send it in for warranty repair.

I was expecting a hassle and was pleasantly surprised.

i think it means they tried to boot the board, however the board was unresponsive.

So they replaced the main board to something new.

Suprised they told you the result... normally they would of just stated PCS replaced.

They replaced the computer board (PBA) in your device because it was not communicating with the cellular service (PCS).

PCS = Personal Communications Service
PBA = Printed Board Assembly
