Well, nobody is great from the start.
That sucker has great specs with pretty good price tag for the size.
Lxi should be able to elaborate more on this.

Well, your question is kinda real open ended.

IMO, Samsung used to make okay to crappy electronics. Then they seemed to bring up the level of their electronics ... either in certain areas or as a whole i'm not sure.

What I do know is that their computer monitors, cel phones and maybe some other stuff are top notch for the most part. Maybe certain divisions of Samsung are comparable to Sony and the rest and the other divisions like home electronics etc are not comparable at all.

So, having said all this: I have a Samsung 950p monitor and i'm very, very happy with it so far.
