Samsung TV will not connect to the internet

I cannot connect to the internet with my smart TV. I've checked and gone through the things I thought would cause an issue. Rebooted my modem several times. Updated the Samsung TV software. Still no go.

Anyone else having this issue and found out what was causing it to behave like this?

I don't think I've changed anything in my router since it worked last.

EDIT: so I can browse the web but I cannot connect to Netflix. In my other room I can connect to Netflix.

Come across this at work semi frequently. I can always fix it by changing the DNS server. Try the Google servers.

8.8.8.8
8.8.4.4

That's odd. I fixed it. Are you ready for this? By going to the store grocery shopping.

I come back and it's working

I'm seeing this issue today as well. It's happening to certain Samsung Smart TV models all over the world. For some reason, the TV has to connect to Samsung's servers to be able to have Internet access. Those servers are having problems.

I saw a workaround that involves using 4.2.2.1 as the DNS Server for the TV.

Lol. I have no answer to your question, but seeing this thread title made me laugh.

Oh how far we've come.

I'm awaiting the "Help! My toaster won't connect to the internet!" threads.
