Looking for any feedback/comments on Samsung TFT monitors.
I have 3 Samsung CRT's and find them excellent, so leaning towards Samsung
for my first TFT. Specifically, looking at the 760V...

Thanks!
Thar.

Heard good things bout them i got the envision 17 inch and its awesome ranked #4 on cnet . If you are interested look at my post under "hot deals" here on anandtech under my user name Chas

I believe they make the panels for several other brands. However, due to the nature of marketing that is no guarantee as to which segment of the market their own panels are directed. Notwithstanding, Samsung does seem to be making strides towards staking out brand territory. They sur put more screns into reviewers hands than any other brand - so their are heaps of reviews to read. CNET has the 770 as their Editor's choice, but be aware that the technology is moving right now and there are few or no reviews out of the latest TFTs.

I bought the 760 for my brother-in-law's system. It is a very nice display, I wish I could afford one for myself. He's had it about 2 months, and is very happy with it. It's performed flawlessly so far.

I personally wouldn't buy an analog only screen, especially one with a low viewing angle (150 degrees horizontal, 130 degrees vertical) and no published response time spec (perhaps the most important spec). However, I hear it's a reasonably nice panel.

Samsung are actually the market leader in this field manufacturing for many other "brands" - I can't remember the market share that tehy have right now though.
