Samsung tablet SM-T900 overheating?

My tablet had an update a couple of weeks back since then it periodically is freezing up saying it is overheating and closes the apps I'm working with example Google Chrome, fbook etc. Not only that but it removes the picture that I have as a desktop and bring her back to a blue screen. Any suggestions other than resetting to factory settings which im thinking I'm going to have to do?

I am having the same issue. During Chrome video playback and gaming i get the device overheating message and my apps shut down. I've noticed the tablet getting warm near the top center. Any luck so far?
