Hey.. my mother bought a computer a week or so ago.. she just wanted something half cheap that she could use to surf the internet and do other simple things etc.. she went out and bought a HP 503n ... instead of getting the HP monitor with it.. which was like $400 cdn she got a Samsung SyncMaster 750s which was around $250 cdn.
Anyways, there seems to be a problem with the monitor. It works fine.. but when she is done of the computer, she usually leaves the computer running and just turns the mointor off... often if the monitor is off for any length of time when she comes back and turns it on everything is all rainbow colored.. It will stay like this until it is degaussed. Does anyone have any idea what is wrong? I did have a second monitor for my linux computer up on a shelf above it, probably about 8-10" above it.. but I took that down. And there are two of those little polk audio speakers that come with hp computers right on each side of it... but I would imagine they are magnetically sheilded.
