Samsung has a nice policy on no dead pixels and the contrast ratio is good, but the brightness leaves a lot to be desired and I could never see dumping $400 on a 25ms response time LCD, especially without DVI.

I'd rate this room temp at best.

..thanks for the info..is this a current model?? no dvi..25ms..might be an older model and the price may soften up even more.

910t is $10 more after a $30 mail in rebate. Specs are similar, not quite identicle although the 910t has DVI.

Because it is a PVA panel, this monitor is not for gaming, but has awesome (relative to other LCDs) color reproduction (8-bit panel with PVA picture quality). I would def go for the 910T however.

The 912N has hovered around $400 the last couple of months. CompUSA had it for $380 AR on Black Friday (Thanksgiving +1) and now lists it for $400. CircuitCity lists it for $380 AR. Of course the OP's linked site offers the benefit free shipping and no tax.

The 910T mentioned by styrafoam is tempting and a quick check looks like Newegg has the best price; I likes that free FedEx shipping. Just with I didn't have to pay instate tax. Amazon shows the silver @ $496.59 and the black @ $469.98. Hmm, the $30 rebate is good until the end of the month.

Wait for 913N, it's just around the corner (I believe it's available outside US)
A lot faster (8ms) but still no digital in.
