I just got a brand new 213T from compusa...very nice...

Im using it on a GeForce 2 Ultra, ANALOG, and in Windows XP Profession. Works great.

(Please dont rip me because im using it on Analog...i dont feel like arguing with you all about going out to buy a card specifically for DVI)

Anyway. It installs fine with the drivers. The Portrait Pro software installs fine.

The only issue i have with it is that at 1600x1200 i see these wavey lines digressing across the screen. its like the monitor is running at too low of a refresh rate (eh take it for what its worth...hard to explain problem). its half blinking-ish and half waves moving across the screen...like how a CRT looks when running it at too low a refresh rate for your own eyes liking.

It goes away and lower resolutions, 1024x768 and 800x600. its only apparent at 1600x1200, and 1200x1600 for that matter (running at 90 degrees offset :)).

And the 1600x1200 resolution will only run at 60Hz...so i cant fool with the refresh rate of course.

Ive tried the "auto" button a couple times, only to re-center the image though...it had no effect on the waves.

edit: its kinda like something you would see out of the corner of your eye...but there are times when you can just blatantly stare at and see no problem.

1. Check connections.
2. Move powerbrick?
3. Buy DVI vid card. (How can you say don't rip you for the video card when its the most likely culprit. Not arguing but its just wrong to run that monitor on a low end card with analog. Its probably having trouble pushing 1600X1200 even in 2D. Maybe you should have bought a 191T and a decent vid card. You don't seem budget constrained or you wouldn't have a $1200 monitor.)

its not that you are running analog. i run analog and its fine. its that you are using a geforce2 to run 1600x1200. the geforce2's had pretty crummy 2d above 115x864 or on some better cards above 1280x1024. the filters on the 2d (bunch of capacitors or something) would wipe out too much of their 2d bandwidth. nvidia is a lot better now , but the gf2 was pretty bad 2d wise.

i remember i bought a voodoo 5 and sold my creative labs geforce 2 gts for that reason. ah the old days.

Yeah I really think it's your vid card that's causing the problem... Get ATi 9600 Pro or something better to match an awesome monitor. :)

looks like i need DVI to run the resolution that high...let alone a better video card.

GF4ti4200 @ 1600x1200 w/ DVI shows no signs of the waves.
