Samsung SyncMaster 19" CRT Monitor Help with Temp.

I opted to go with a Samsung SyncMaster 19" CRT Monitor with DynaFlat Screen yesterday. I got home plugged it in and all and its great. However, it seems to be dissipating too much heat. My room got hot quikcly, the vents on the monitor seem to give off a tremendous amount of heat. Has anyone else had a problem with this? Any thing besides a small fan that could cool it down? Any reasonable suggestions would be appreciated.

The operating temperature for Samsung Dynaflat monitors is between 32F to 104F (a wide range).

Key factors is cross ventilation and positioning, higher frequency refresh rates.

The higher the Frequency and Refresh rate is, the hotter it will run.

I've used 19" samsung monitors for years with two setup in a room and never had noticable heat. Is it hot to the touch?...and have you given a little space for the vent holes? I only give 2-3 inches in the back and nothing near the side with no problems.

The higher resolution and the higher the screen refresh, more heat will be generated. Look at the operating power use, and check it with a wattmeter to see if it fits inside the power envelope. If it has "typical power use", check for that. If not, surely there is a max current draw, multiply with the voltage to obtain max power.
If it uses more power than max, or much more than typical, it really is a problem
