Samsung Syncmaster 181T or 191T?

First I was set on the 181T, until I read a review at tweaknews.net which raved about the 191T. After doing some comparisons I've found these to be the main differences. The 191T has a higher contrast ratio of 500:1 (compared to 450:1 on the 181T). The 181T's power source is built into the monitor and does not require an external power box (the 191T does). The 191T has 19" viewable, the 181T has 18.1" viewable. The 191T is about $100-150 more expensive. I'll be taking this to college, so I would like it to take up as little space as possible (which helps the 181T with the internal power source). The 181T is also less expensive. However the 191T has almost an extra inch of viewing. The only thing I'm unsure about is the contrast ratio. Samsung says both the 181T AND the 191T are 500:1 on their spec sheet, but I've seen multiple reviews that say the 181T is 450:1, and other reviews that say the 181T is 500:1. Does anyone know the truth? Finally, I will be playing counter-strike on this LCD. If anyone has had any experience playing games on either of these displays, please let me know what you think. So what do you think? 181T or 191t? Thanks.

you will get ghosting or trails in gaming. no way around it. I'm told that you kinda get used to it. the later model samsungs are 500:1 but I wouldn't get too hung up on numbers. Go to a store and look at them.
I would also investigate the new Phillips 18"
