I am looking for a new monitor (eventually) and I was initially thinking of a 17" LCD screen but was dismayed by the fact that they are at 1280x1024 and I heard that most don't interpolate down to 1024x768 very well (and I am a gamer, among other things). I am not a hardcore gamer, however. I am more of a guy that enjoys his PC games very well, but yet also values his eyesight :p and I am looking for a monitor to ease the strain on my eyes. I watch movies on my PC (DVD) occaisonally (even though I have a nice DVD player and setup in the other room) so it has to be a very good monitor. What do people think about that LCD? Tom's Hardware thought it was very good. I already have a 17" CRT from Viewsonic picked out if I can't choose an LCD screen. I will buy a new monitor in the summertime, not now...so if there is a 17" LCD that is worth it that won't interpolate badly (again, just something I heard...never seen), then I will spend the extra money for it. Thanks for anyone's input into this monitor or others.
