If anyone has one of these monitors, maybe you can tell me your's also has what look like tiny lines, only seen on static, light images. I have two horizontal ones and one vertical one. Is this normal? I have had the monitor for a two weeks, but I didn't notice them at first.

Thanks

The horizontal one's have noticed earlier. The veritcal one, just appeared today. It starts about 2 inches from the top and goes half way down the screen.

I looks exactly the same as the other two lines (color, size..)

Anyone else have one of these?

The two horizontal lines should be there, as they are the damper wires found with all AG monitors. The Vertical ones should not.

However, common with aperture grille monitors are vertical lines that result from the wires coming close to the surface of the screen. Just gently tap the side of the monitor where the lines are and it'll go away.

think of the aperture grille inside the monitor as a weaving loom, threaded very finely, and threaded only in the vertical direction.

The two horizontal lines you can see are the damper wires, which place tension on the vertical wires, stopping them from moving around.

As explained before the vertical line you saw is an out of alignment grille wire. tapping the side of the case caused it to return to its normal position.

Keep an eye on it, if it happens rarely, it's nothing. If it happens regularly it may indicate your tube was not constructed as well as it might have been. Contact the maker in this case.
