Dell is proposing a warrantee replacement of my Samsung SSD SM951 with a PM951. It appears to me that the PM951 is lower performance. Any comment/guidance.
thank you, Mark Frye

i wouldnt be to happy about that it seems to be about 1\4 of the read\write speed depending on size

I wouldn't accept that. I had a Dell lappy with way too much glow in its expensive screen, and the exchange was for a lesser, lower resolution panel. I had none of that, and it was corrected.

Thank you all. Based on my communications with Dell they have reversed and are now sending the SM951. I felt the SM951 was superior to the PM951 but the Samsung specs showed the PM951 having faster IOPS for random read/writes but slower speed for sequential reads/writes.
Again, thank you for your confirmations.

Does anyone know if samsung will offer a value pcie ssd anytime soon ?
Something like PM951 but with consumer branding (think 950evo).

PM951 is quite hard to get and its only climbing price.
