Samsung spinpoint F3 with different memory chips?

Well I just ordered two 1TB F3's from newegg and upon examination, I noticed that they have different memory chips.

One of them is using an ESMT chip, while the other is using a Samsung chip. Is one better than another or should they be about the same?

I did a full surface scan on both drives just to make sure there weren't any errors and the one with the samsung chip finished 20 mins faster.

I can't imagine any DRAM chips being slow enough to affect the performance of a hard disk (or even a solid state disk), nor can I imagine Samsung taking a risk with inferior DRAM.

Did you test with software that could not have been affected by the unpredictable interference of a large, complex operating system that can't fit entirely on a single floppy disk?

Well unfortunately I didn't test since one of the HDs were for my brother. I just took the one with the samsung chip, and gave the esmt one to my brother.
