Samsung Spinpoint 500GB for $150? Is this a good deal?

I am thinking about asking for one of these for christmas. Are they trust worthy? Do they break often? Or would I be better off with a 400GB Seagate?

I'm thinking about this one too. Samsung has always been a good brand to me, but I've never had one of their hard drives. The price at newegg is a steal for a 500 gigger...
