Samsung SD-616 Compatibility

I just upgraded my comptuer to XP SP2 and I have a samsung SD-616 that came with my dell a few years ago. After installing SP2, when I play any audio CD, I only hear sound out of my left speaker. When I put an audio CD in my lite on CD burner, I get audio out of both speakers. What can I do to fix my DVD player? Oh and if I play a DVD in my DVD rom, the sound it just fine.

Do you have an analog or digital out audio cable running from the SD-616 to the sound card? The connection on that cable is most likely the culprit.
