Hi, im looking to get 27inch monitor high ress. I'm thinking about Dell UltraSharp U2711. But i read user review they all say it have too many problem. SO i was browsing for alternative and found this new samsung.

Just asking to see anyone here got their hands on it yet and think if its a good buy. Price right now are 850 pretty much cost same as U2711 and hp zr2740w

wow that is pretty temping .. i never order anything other than newegg and tiger direct. I guess i might just go with that. 650 is too cheap for its size and spec

From what I've read, the 850 would be a great monitor, but it has some production issues, such as fairly bad backlight bleeding on a large amount of these monitors. I'd buy with caution or maybe see if you can find a retailer with a good exchange policy so you can play panel lottery.

Me too. I came across it and now am seriously considering upgrading to 27" again from my dual 24". Only issue is the lack of any monitors that fit well as wings like 20" do on a 30".

And this monitor is cheaper because it doesn't have all the extra ports and connectors most others do. But quality is just as good. It's sold out temporarily and gone up $5 though. Makes it slightly easier to resist.

yea i've been doing a lot of reading as well on the 850. but it cost over 900, while the zr2740w is 650.. i mean ill just go ahead and get the HPzr27 its just as good from what i read.

I am tempted to get the 24inch 850 series for $490. I just want to hears peoples reviews of them first.
