Not sure if this is somewhere on the forum somewhere, but I came across an old Samsung research paper on RT from 2013 while searching for anything about Qualcomm RT efforts.

That would seem to indicate that they took the Caustic RT tech seriously at the time - obviously they have access to RDNA now so they won't need it, still interesting.
