Images in windows are actually rendered by the cpu. I hope that helps.

Vista will be the first windows os to render with the gpu.

it uses the low voltage CPU, so the battery time may seem longer, but how does it perform in movies? mp3? word/excel, internet and picture viewing?

i may do mp3, word, internet at the same time, can this notebook handle it?

Thanks

all 3 will do just fine. You may want to add more ram thou. All P-M CPUs run at 600mhz to save battery so don't let the GHZ bother you.
I think ULV CPUs are usually soldered on to the motherboard.

i have no clues how the processor works...
u mean the cpu is soldered on to the motherboard so you mean i can't change it later?

512mb is not enough?

also, i have test this before the volume of 2 speakers is not loud enough... what solution can i find?
is there a very tiny little speaker that can make the volume to go up once i put it into the headphone jet? whcih i mean i don't want a speaker that needs a power cord to get power. if there is any? like the size of an eraser? or mono?

may be i should explain a little more clearly...

the speakers built in is not loud enough for music or anything. it is not enough for 2 feets away.I can barely hear any noise coming out from the speakers .. so what i am thinking is if an external speaker will actually make the volume louder. of course i know if i hook it up to my 5.1 setup everything will work great. but what i need is a very tiny little speaker that can be heard 5 meters away. Sound quality is second, where loudness is more important at this point. some speakers(powered) need to use an ac adaptor for power, which i don't want. I just want it simple.

If the CPU is "integrated" (soldered ) then it can not be upgraded (changed/Replaced).
Headphones?? It is normal for notebook speakers. Also you can just use the analog out to hook up an analog in on your receiver or speaker. OR use the same jack for SPDIF digital sound, 5.1 or what ever (hook up to Digital in). You can also use wireless speaker or heaphones. I think 512 ram is ok but 512+ would be great.
