Samsung printer : 2010 vs 2510

Hi!

I need a printer ASAP.

Both these models sell for around 100$ CDN.

Which would you pick and why?
(Specs seem very similar)

Also, I plan on refilling cartridges..
I know the 2510 has chip in cartridge, while the 2010 doesnt.

Thanks!

Amos 😀

I have the 2010 and the Brother 2040. I like the 2040 better. Both were $50 after rebate.

For me the difference is very slight. The Brother has darker printing and I like that better. Either printer would be fine, especially if you can find them for $50 after rebate.

Accord: the Brother models have seperate toner and drum cartridges. This means that you can keep refilling the same toner cart and when your drum starts streaking the output, just replace the drum. The Samsungs are a combined unit that require you to replace the toner/drum as a unit. What happens if you JUST refilled the toner and your drum goes?

I had Brother 1440 which I sold to my Sister.
I loved it. It prints really fast up to 1200dpi
I got the OEM toner from Supermedia store for 30 dollars something (High yield) and it last me for years. I normally print 10 to 20 pages a week or sometime more.

My brother got Samsung 2010 and the quality was alright. Toner cartrige is very small and expensive even the OEM one.

I would go with Brother's brand.
