I have seen the Vr-zone review of all the PC2700 ram and it looks like Samsung won hands down.

Googlegear has a 512 stick of it for $130 though it is 6ns. ... ? EDIT : Hmm i just did a search here and it looks like the googlegear ram sucks..

SO how does just Samsung ram perform. Does anyone have a stick of this ram ? Can it be OC and run aggresive memory settings ?

I know that XMS ram can but it is $40 more at newegg.com....

[I need Cash ]BTW, i have 2 sticks of KingMax 256 PC2700 [/I need cash ] :p

I have a stick of pc2100 " original" samsung which is supposed to run at 266mhz and I had it up to 350 mhz with no problems. Samsung ddr is a great overclocker.:)

Mine is rated cas 2.5 but am running it at cas 2.0 and works great , by the way thugsrook just wanted to thank you again for the ndis fix you sent me, I could get my board above 2.1 gigs before but had to use a gigabyte utility called Easytune which worked great but uses alot of ram memory, now with the fix can go over 2.1 in the bios and dont need easytune anymore , again thanks.thugsrook:)

Googlegear's SAMSUNG DDR is not true SAMSUNG (SAMSUNG Chips on SAMSUNG PCB).
It's SAMSUNG Chip on the 3rd party board.
It doesn't give a performance metioned on VR-Zone.
Be careful ! Keep in mind SAMSUNG Chips on SAMSUNG PCB !

Holy Sh!t !! That's a great overclock! I consider myself fortunate that my Crucial PC2100 runs @ 333 MHz 2-2-2-5-7!

Samsung 2700 and Corsair XMS 3000-3200 use the exact same Samsung TCB3 chips. Corsair just pre-qualifies the speed and puts a jacet on them.

i got 256 corsair xms pc2700 . runs really well o/c's even better. The good thing about the corsair is that it runs @ cas 2 unlike the samsung that is @ 2.5.
i got another 256mb i the post.
