http://www.androidauthority.com/samsung-galaxy-note-5-rumor-roundup-623318/
I've been worried since the Galaxy S series removed the battery and SD storage. The primary reason i bought the Note 3 was the perfect blend of features. It was everything my Nexus 3 wasn't. I bought it on release day. Amazing upgrade, and, by far, my favorite phone as of yet. I still don't really have phone upgrade envy.
Long battery life, SD card, removable battery, large screen size, (relatively) lightweight.
With all the floating rumors, they're moving completely in the wrong direction for my tastes.
Note 5 rumors:
Sealed battery
No SD
Glass back (increasing the weight and potential for breaks...)
actually LOWERING the mAH in the battery. (We can wait and reserve judgement, but the 4 was worse than the 3. Is this still true? It was at least when the N4 was released...)
If they kept the removable options, and made the device at least 64GB standard, that would be something... But if these rumors pan out to be true, then it's time to move on.
I know they're not making the device for ME, but it was refreshing how long they were sticking with useful features, rather than making it another iPhone. (look how pretty and SMOOTH this sealed metal and glass phone is!)
Just to ramble a bit more:
Plastic is/was FINE! I've been saying this since 2006. My Samsung Omnia was INCREDIBLY light. Why? Plastic! Did it feel a little cheap? Who cares?! A soon as it was in a case, it was still lightweight and pocketable. I'm very happy with black, lightweight, break-resistant rectangles. I was assume it makes it easier to embed antennaes as well. (vs metal) I'll just say it. Plastic can look nice. To me, the function will win over form every day. Samsung can do their experiments on the S series.
How much weight is the glass back (which nobody asked for on a phone, ever...) on this large phone going to add? I STILL love the soft fake pleather on my Note 3. No fingerprints, no case needed, lightweight, and as far as my friends were concerned and everything I read, everybody loved it, or put it in the case, so it was moot.
I love the exact size of the Note 3/4. The LG G series looks good, but slight drop in screen size will slightly bother me. I'm a fan of the buttons on the back. WTH can't Samsung (and others) at least RECESS the button the side? There's about a 100% chance of buttons being hit when trying to hand off the phone to another person and accidental button presses are common. It also makes putting the phone in a dock, a mount, or clipping on an attachment, a pain. This will influence my next phone purchase.
For the people who enjoy at least a 5.5 screen size, Note owners or not, what do you plan on moving to? I'm open. It's just a bummer to see a phone I like make changes, for the worse, in my opinion.

Note 5 Rumors (looking likely to be true)
Sealed Battery, No SD Card, Slight bump DOWN in battery, glass back
Yech!
