I'm looking for an inexpensive android phone preferably unlocked. Amazon has the Nexus S for $189. Is this phone still worth buying at that price?

No that's too much, look for a galaxy s2 for that price or maybe an s3 for around 250+

You can buy a HTC One S or even a Galaxy Nexus for that price.

I assume you are looking at the "new" listings?
I would think to myself, who still has a new, sealed Nexus S?
I would think they are all used and repackaged nicely to look new.

It would be better to just get a used Galaxy Nexus for cheaper than that on eBay.
