samsung netbook offering

Why is it that this forum is giving no love for the samsung netbook offer. I have read a good amount of threads here and no one seems to mention it. I am looking to buy a netbook, and the reviews of the samsung seem to me to make it the best. I am going to go check one out at the store, but I am deff leaning towards it!

It's nice but I would wait for the new one. I don't think its so much that it doesn't get any love, there are just so damn many of them with almost the same specs they just get lost in the crowd. The ones that get talked about the most are the older ones that have a larger installed base, hence more recommendations on here(AAO, Wind, EEE)

The NC310 looks pretty damn sweet. If battery life is as claimed that may be my next one as I've been sitting on my first gen eee 701 while the manu's put out something worth buying.

Anyone know when the new ones re coming out? I wnt to jump on this Samsun right now, but i they re going to make a new one, then I will wait for either a price drop or just pick up the new one..

The NC310 won't be for a few months, I think the NC11 is already out? Google information.

Yeah the Samsung netbook is very nice, but it's expensive to the point that for many people, a 14 or 15 inch laptop is a better value and makes more sense.

Please someone help me!

I went to the store, and I really liked the Samsung NC10, but the Asus 1000HE is cheaper!

Should I go for the 450 Samsung SE with the nice keyboard, and slimmer style, or the cheaper ASUS 1000HE with the meh keyboard, and the heavier body, with a slightly faster CPU.

I think I will be happier with the samsung because it is also white.


But really...The BIG question is...Should I wait for the next gen of netbooks!? Better video/speed?

unless you are in a hurry, you could wait a bit. i think the N110 is going to replace the NC10, so you should see some sales of the older model pretty soon

Many people like the Asus 1000HE because of long battery life, but the larger battery also makes it one of the heaviest. The Samsung NC10 is a pretty good looking laptop, more expensive too.

I wanted to give my daughter a netbook last Christmas, and after MUCH comparison shopping chose the Samsung NC10, which seemed the best alternative then. My daughter loves it. She particularly likes the battery life, and says she can routinely surf the net on batteries only for 8 hours or more before recharging. She does that a lot, to the detriment of her grades <g>. When I was setting it up, the only thing I didn't like was that the screen was a little too short in the vertical dimension for my tastes. But I think that's true of most of the competition. It also struck me as a tad flimsy, but that's also true of the competition. A Macbook Pro it ain't. But of course that's in a whole different category, and about five times as much money.

I have no idea if there's a better netbook out now. If there isn't, there soon will be. Probably right after you buy whatever you buy. <g>
