Samsung NC10 Track Pad Issues

Has anyone with a Samsung NC10 had issues where the track pad will randomly require you to push much harder to get the cursor to move, or stop working completely?
 
Running off of battery last night and we were watching a video on YouTube. The screen dimmed due to lack of trackpad input, and it took several attempts at running a finger across the pad before it acknowledged contact and brightened back up, let alone moved the cursor. It should have required only a tap as it does on most occasions.

The button is starting to display some wonkiness as well.

Hmm, I would try to RMA that since it doesn't show up at all in my unit.

It is still within the thirty day exchange limit for the company I bought it from. I am going to contact Samsung first, but likely I will just exchange it with the seller.
