Samsung Monitors?

I just put a computer together for my brother. I picked up a 17in Samsung monitor for him(753DF)and man is this thing sharp! .20 horizontal pitch and a perfectly flat screen. I looked at their high end 19in DF model and it only costs $319.00 at Bestbuy. Anyone here have a Samsung monitor? How reliable are they? Any problems? Any info would be appreciated. Thanks.

I have a 755 DF and have used a few 753 df monitors, as well as recommended them to buyers. For the value, you can't get any better.

i've used three 900nfs and a 1200nf

they are one of the best monitors that i have ever used besides sonys.

but u can get the 900nf at the dell sale goin on now for like 320...

I'm actually looking at the 900IFT. This is their higher end model. Anyone know where I could pick one up online?

rorrim180,

the 900nf is better than the ift,

but jsut search on pricewatch for the ift there are lots of places that sell it

I am actually considering the Samsung 19 inch myself. My only concern is that it said the max refesh rate was 68Hz at 1600x1200. Is that normal for that resolution? I've been running my 17 inch at 85hz and i find it a lot easier on the eyes. Also, would you say the image clarity is better than a 19-inch Sony at Best Buy? Those were the only decent brands they had for 19s when I looked. The Sony was quite a bit more.

what are the benefits of an AG dot pitch? Is the 900NF that much better than the 955DF? I have sharp vision and even those two thin lines on Sony monitors and the one I have(NEC MultiSync FE950)annoy me. The only reason I got this one was because I got a great deal on it. Unfortunatly, it broke down in less than a year and I had to send it back to get it replaced. I've been staring at this Samsung monitor and I love it.

CDW has the 955 DF for $319.00 and a rebate that brings it down to $279.00. Not bad at all 😉

I have the 955DF and a Viewsonic A95f. Although the A95f has a .25dp (or .26dp), I can't even see the pixels compared the relatively large pixels of the .20 955DF. I didn't care for the 955DF until I installed Win XP on the system. Now I think it's beautiful! I must say it was the best $160 I ever spent on a monitor.

I'll throw in a recommendation for the 900 NF as well. Not only is it a great monitor but their support is quite good. I had some color problems in one corner, less than a week later they were at my door with a replacement. It's a refurb of course but it still works perfectly.

I was looking at the 955DF. I would probably end up buying it at Best Buy because I have my employee discount there, so I think it is between the samsung and the Sony. There was like a $170 difference between the two though.

I have a 700NF which is a bit more expensive then the DF but it is a DiamondTron. My friend have exactly the same monitor as you but to be hnost, I don't like that. The color is less rich and the outfit wasn't attractive.

Hey guys! I got a 900IFT here currently, it's great! By far the best 19" CRT I've seen, that is, until I receive my Sony G400 in the mail!

Gonna have to compare the two! 😀

the picture is great on most vewsonic but stay away from them. I have a service conteact with a company and in the lasy year have replaced about 300 of them.

the ram king vewsonic

Image quality is very good with the 900IFT - but have a good look at the geometry - I had to return mine due geometry problems. Samsung customer service were very good and had no difficulty rectifying my complaints 🙂

There are also sometimes issues in finding the correct setting for moire.

I'm very happy with mine though 😉
