Samsung ML-2010 - is it supposed to be this loud even on idle?

So I just got the Samsung ML-2010 today and so far I like it, except that there is a humming sound coming from it even when not printing something. I guess I am supposed to turn it off, but is this normal for this printer to hum like this?
 
That's weird. My wife just got an HP all-in-one and it makes a strange noise as well. It literally sounds like an air or gas leak. This is while it's powered off.
 
It must have been the fan after printing the page. The noise is now gone.

Well, I have an HP PSC 2210 All-In-One and it is very quiet even right after printing a page. It has been very good to me for the past few years, but its not connecting to my computer because the USB cable does not attach to it properly.
 
Don't turn it off. it will last for about a minute or so after the end of printing and then it becomes silent. That is how mine is.
