The ubiquitous Samsung ML-1740 - a great little laser.

Fry's BA, Concord, and SoCal are $49. at Sacto it's $39.99 AR.

Excellent! Can anyone confirm in the D?FW area? Needing a new printer, and I think it's time to ditch ink jet format.

Well, its 39.99 now.... 119.00 - 80 rebate = 39.99

but..... "(Ships with 1,000 pages Starter Toner Cartridge) "

so "cheaper than a new toner" ? no......unless you pay $120+ for a toner

anyhow, I thought these refilled easily....

I thiink I'll keep my HP LaserJet 6L.....1st page out within 15 sec....6ppm printer after ...and only makes a nice hum when printing...I got a few extra toners and a fuser to use up anyhow....

damn, i bought mine when it was 70 AR. its pretty for the price. It replaced my canon as my primary printer which was noticable slower than this printer.

i have the 1710...its been great

I think they use the same cartridge. I bought some refill toner off ebay for cheap and it works fine. Theres a round cap on the top right side that pops out. The refill toner goes in there and your done.

For those of us who don't have Fry's 🙁, it's available at CompUSA for the same price today (7/03) only from 8AM-2PM.

This is a great printer, I have one working well with my CUPS config, the only downside is its tough to find cheap toner. I just spent 80 bucks at OD and the toner is only rated at 3000 pages 🙁

Wow, that I did not know. If I may ask, where do you pick up your refill toner for this cartridge?
