I need to get a printer and wired/wireless print server, and was going to get the Samsung ML-1710 that I'm sure so many people have now. I got one for my parents and was impressed with it and its price.

Now- I've been looking into a couple different solutions, but basically I want this:

Make a wireless network, connect the printer to a print server. I'm trying to figure out the cheapest way to do all this, and I was looking to get a wireless router that has a usb print server, but I can't seem to find any good ones. What are your suggestions?

Thanks!

I've got a Samsung 1210....(the one just before yours)....a great printer.....I set up mine on a wireless PC and its just shared with all the other PC's....even better, they make standalone wireless print servers, so you can put the printer whereever

Here is a router with the USB you wanted:

Most of the wireless printer servers run about the same as a whole routher, so I was cheap and just plugged it into a wireless PC

Yeah I saw that one. More specifically I was wondering about compatability, hence if anyone was using one with a print server.

I own one of those printers, have mine shared. I don't see any reason why it would not work with a print server.

I bought a USB print server a while back to use with my USB canon photo printer. That worked well except using a print server doesn't allow you to use the canon utility that shows you the status of the ink cartirdges, so I sold the print server.
That would NOT be an issue with the Samsung laser printer.

I picked up a TrendNet print server from NewEgg. It has 1xParallel port and 2xUSB. Currently have the ML-1710 and an HP Photosmart printer hooked up to the USB ports. Works great and the HP utilities work too, telling me how much ink is left, etc.
