What is / does the automatic graph display that is by default checked on the magician options from the system tray ?

I cannot figure out to what it relates to.

After running Performance Benchmark, the Result graph is displayed automatically rather than by manually opening History. Odd place for the option, really. Likewise the application update and firmware download since not frequent tasks. I would actually prefer it not use the system tray (like Intel SSD Toolbox), or at least be optional.

You mean this graph? It appears automatically after performance check.

I have my Magician set to only appear in the Start Menu. It only appears in the Notification Area when it has something to say. It does not reside there normally. These are all user configurable.

Auric, thanks for the explanation on setting for graphing.

Do you guys have the Magician running from start up ? I noticed that it wakes up system from sleep.

No. It only runs when I tell it to run.

I removed Magician from Startup and will only run as necessary and close afterwards. The W7 tray / notification area / taskbar thingy has the "Always show..." option enabled so nothing running is ever hidden (and they show in the same place).

The Performance Benchmark running automatically after Performance Optimization without any option other than manual stop is not ideal. Also, it attempts network connections.

Corkyg, I just realized that you found the lost drive and have it installed. Enjoying it ?

Absolutely! It finally arrived after visiting Portland, OR, Las Vegas, NV, and Phoenix. I should the itinerary to the UPS guy - he just shook his head. He did tell me this: Small packages do not get individually scanned out or in, but are lumped together in a larger container and it is scanned. I can see getting lumped into Portland instead of Phoenix. After all, both begin with "P." :)

AZnyway, it works perfectly and installed like a dream. It is definitely a winner. Now I am going to order another so I can have the same ready-to-use reserve system I have always used. Price has now dropped to $195 at the Egg.
