Samsung LCDs

What the hell happened to the prices of these damn things! Just a few weeks ago the SyncMaster SM-152T was selling for under $270 at NewEgg, and now it's not selling for under $300 anywhere! The 152 has become more difficult to find and its price has skyrocketed! What the hell is going on? Is the 153 approaching and Samsung is clearing out the stock of 152s (hence their low availability and inflamed costs)? Now I'm stuck. Do I buy one now in the fear that they will grow even more expensive, or do I wait for the 153? This situation is frustrating because a client of mine has requested the 152T, and the price I quoted him is now like a dream. The $60 increase seems like robbery to him. He doesn't want to wait much longer. Can anyone shed light on this situation? Does anyone know where I can find the 152 for a reasonable price? Thanks for the help. 🙁

The 153 series has already been released here in Asia. I have heard that there are a number of shortages in LCD components, causing the price rise. It is predicted that prices will not come down again until Q4.

I've noticed prices in alot of monitors rise recently . Just by a few dollars here and there, but still.

They are just price protecting. When too much inventory gets out of the hands of the distributors it drops like it did the last few months. Now that the inventory is under control a little better its leveling out to the point where people can make money on it again.
