Hey all,
I just purchased a CLP-500 Color Laserjet and found out that out of all the comparible printers (HP 1500L, Minolta 2300) it seems to have the highest consumable costs.
I was wondering if Samsung printers have any chipkill technology on their printers and/or toner cartridges which will prevent the user from refilling a used cartridge or using a 3rd party toner cart replacement.
Even though it seems to be a very nice printer for the price ($300), if Samsung is trying to pull the crap that Lexmark is with "you can only use our branded toner & ink carts," I may have to return this bad boy.
