Samsung laser printer

Printer itself is dirty cheap, but the model I'm looking at uses a toner/drum combo cartridge and a new genuine cartridge cost about $80.

Does it have the built in scanner?

I bought my mother a Samsung multifunction laser printer that uses a toner/drum, but I haven't had to replace the ink yet. The MSRP for a new combo is around $80, but I can find them at online ink stores for less than $50.

My brother has to print something on a daily routine for school, and my mother uses it for her business paperwork. It only came with 1/3 of the toner filled, and its already lasted 2 monthes. I was changing out $30 cartridges once a month before. It's definitely going to pay for itself.

Keep an inkjet for color pictures, or get a photo printer, but if you will be printing a lot of text, nothing can beat the laser.

I've had my Samsung Laser ML-1430 for 2 yrs and it's still going strong...only had to replace the toner once because when you buy them new the Toners only 1/2 full. Only complaint is that it's a tad loud...

Edit... The toner on mine runs under $50 @Samsungs and I've seen it cheaper elsewhere

I have a 4300, and I love it. To be honest, 80 bucks isn't bad for toner, when you consider how much printing you get on a laser versus an inkjet cartridge.

My only gripe is XP drivers, it's installed, but Device Manager shows is messed up.
