Hmmmmm, should i get this setup or a Infinity TSS-750 setup and a HK reciever down the road?

How do these compare to the promedia 4.1's?

It looks like it is their quintet system. The quintet system is the home theatre version of their ProMedia line, but with significant improvements.

However, with that said, this is still an entry level home theatre (albeit a pretty good one). I can't tell much about the subwoofer, but I wouldn't expect TOO much from it.

You have to decide what you want; if you are looking for something small, relatively cheap, integrated, and decent sound, than this would be a nice setup. If you have more space, money, and desire better sound quality, than there are much better options both from Klipsch and other manufacturers.

From amazon feedback:

"The HT-SK5 is a lemon--don't buy it. Although the sound quality is great, the audio doesn't match the video when you're using a digital input, like digital HDTV. So, the lips don't match the words on any digital stations. It made it impossible to watch any HDTV programming, which essentially was why I bought it."

I have to agree, I LOVE my promedias, but this set makes watching annoying as hell. Mine went back.

thanks for the advice. i wish i could hear it.

I'm just wondering how these would compare to my LOGITECH Z560's...or the computer speaker Klipsch's. I'm not much of a sound buff, and i really don't know. All I know is, i need bass.

I cant figure out this setup....

It shows 80 watts per channel (as opposed to 100watts for the quintets), and shows a 8" Unpowered sub, where the 4.1's have dual 6 3/4" Powered Subs and the 5.1's have dual 8" powered subs...

Very confusing, its like a mix of a bunch of different setups, with a weird sub :D

I dont think these are the computer speaker klipschs. The quintets look the same as the 4.1/5.1s but I believe they use a .5 inch larger speaker and the center channel has 2 drivers instead of 1.
However I still dont know what speakers this setup uses.

I heard this system a while back at a local retail store and they sound pretty good even in that big show room floor. Bass was good and the Highs were loud and crisp. Im not too into home theatre systems but i would say this is a great system for the price.

I have these and it does not desync when using my digital cable box (even on hd channels) i did notice it desync when using a ps2 though. I found that the system needs a constant digital audio source or it will desync. A solution is turning the system on and off once the digital source is constant.

The sound is great btw powerful sub.

Found this old thread. I have a chance to get just the speakers for $75. I have read though the sub is not powered. How can I get these to work with my Onkyo receiver?
Thanks,
Chad
