Seems like ARM, Samsung and Google will be ganging up on Intel and Microsoft pretty soon.

Samsung is almost like a mafia-run corporation. They are cutthroat and shafty.

That's not to say that we, as consumers, should worry about anything from them. They tend to make great products, and have been improving steadily as a company over the past decade to sort of become the new Sony of yesteryear (quality products with great aesthetics, in every market). They have terrific products that have come out of each division, and for some of those divisions, we as consumers are treated to their quality regardless of what company actually created the final consumer device (as mentioned above, many components they release are top notch).

But they are backstabby in the corporate world, which is the point sdifox made.

DRAM. They came up with price fixing scheme, get the other companies to agree, FTC comes after everyone, Samsung rat everyone else out, Samsung avoids penalties while everyone else get shafted. LCD panels, they accuse Taiwanese companies of dumping while they were the ones doing it.

shafting consumers when it comes to blu ray movie compatibilities and not owning up to capacitor problems on their tvs. My samsung brd player still can't play Cars 2 properly. Disney releases are the most troublesome for Samsung, every other manufacturer eventually update their BRD to whatever new twist BRD comes with, but not Samsung.
